I'm an ESL teacher with a M.A. in TESOL. I've had experiences working with English language learners as a full-time teacher and lecturer, immersive culture and language program assistant, volunteer coordinator, teaching assistant, and as a private tutor. I've taught in different university intensive English programs in the United States and EFL programs in Japan. I've worked with students from East Asia (South Korea, China, Japan), the Middle East (Saudia Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan), and South America (Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Argentina, Peru). I've instructed students of ages spanning 4 to 75 years old. I have taught all-male, all-female, and mixed gender classes. I am a bilingual Spanish speaker and maintain advanced conversational Japanese proficiency. I am able to provide all students with quality instruction that is centered on increasing student interaction, hands-on engagement with materials, and collaborative learning.
