I am an undergraduate pursuing Digital Media Studies and Psychology double major with Music minor at the University of Rochester.
For the past few years I have been systematically trained in Music theory classes and also taken college music theory classes like composition class in Eastman School of Music. My academic strength in this subject allows me to help my friends who are taking theory classes, and my demonstration seems easy to follow and understand most of the time.
Besides that, I am a native Mandarin speaker with good communication and writing skills. I have no accent with my Mandarin and I have the experience of tutoring my friend who was taking introductory and intermediate Chinese writing courses. I have scored 120 in TOEFL test and would be able to help international students with English proficiency test if possible.
Guiding instead of teaching is the most effective way of learning any subject. I more than happy to do anything I can help.
Outside the class, I have various interests. I am a pianist and vocalist participating in band and a cappella performances. Other than that I'm pretty good at playing ping pong and 8 ball pool.
