Hi, my name is Jose! I love teaching and working with others, especially in the maths and sciences.

I began my academic career studying Engineering at Universidad Simon Bolivar, and I continued on to pursue my PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan. Here, I worked with peers and a corporation to develop new laboratory techniques. I have a passion for both technical work and communication, which is where my love of tutoring comes in. I like to work with students, figure out where they are coming from, and offer more than one explanation as to how to solve a problem.
