Benjamin Franklin once stated, "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." As a tutor, I do not teach for today or tomorrow, but rather, for the long-term. Thus, I always try to involve my students, so that they can actually learn. As every single student is different, I believe that my approach has to be tailored to that specific student to help them blossom and retain the information for years to come. Also, as a tutor, I have grown to love the experience of teaching students new strategies to help them reach their goals. From my perspective, all students have the ability to learn, but they just need to be given the appropriate tools to further their knowledge base and understanding of the material.
