I am a graduate of The Ohio State University. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Since graduation I have worked in the IT field as a software developer. In my current position I am focused on developing automated tests. Essentially, I develop software that tests other software and can be easily reused. I tutor my peers and students primarily in Mathematics and Computer Science. I also volunteer as a mentor at my company, so I can help other associates reach their career goals and find a greater level of satisfaction at work.
I have had several tutors and mentors in my academic and professional life. Those people made a big difference in my life and I would not be where I am now without them. It is important to “pay it forward” and inspire others to make a difference too. It is important to treat people as individuals when you are tutoring. We all have our own learning styles, so you have to be flexible and remember that the ultimate goal is learning and understanding.
In my spare time I enjoy reading (mostly history, science fiction, and fantasy), listening to music, attending concerts, camping, and fishing.
