I attended Xavier College Preparatory in Phoenix, AZ for high school and I am a recent college graduate with a Bachelor in Health Sciences from the University of Arizona’s Physiology Department under the College of Medicine. As an undergraduate at the UA, I majored in Physiology with minors in Public Health and Africana Studies. While at the UA I earned over 270 credit hours, was on the Dean’s List and received High Academic Distinction for 6 semesters, and I was also awarded the Africana Studies Award for South Africa Swaziland which allowed me to study abroad in South Africa and Swaziland for a summer on a full ride scholarship. During high school and college, I worked as a tutor and Preceptor for a number of courses including Spanish, Introductory Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, Biostatistics, and Youth Leadership and Development. This Fall I will be attending the University of Arizona’s Phoenix campus to pursue my MD/MPH with a concentration in Public Health Practice. My unique background and experiences allowed me to develop a passion for learning and educating and I am enthusiastic about helping other students to find their own passion that will allow them to be motivated to succeed. I am proficient in both in-person and online courses and tutor junior high, high school, and college students.
