I am a recent graduate from the University of Missouri and just moved to St. Louis to start work as a project management consultant. I got my BSBA with an emphasis in Finance and BA in Spanish.

In college, I was a scholarship mentor and tutor for my sorority. This is where most of my tutoring experience comes from and I learned a lot from working with those women! I was able to help them with a number of topics, everything from economics to study skills, which helped me hone my expertise in these areas as well.

When I'm not working or trying to teach myself another new thing (I'm thinking German would be fun!) I like to hike, explore coffee shops, and spend quality time with my cat. I'm really excited to start my new life and St. Louis and can't wait to see what the city has to offer!

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

I believe that having meaningful interactive conversations are key to learning. Many students reach out to tutors because they are struggling. Finding ways to relate these difficult concepts to a student's way of thinking helps align a student's learning style with the subject matter, making it easier to learn. I believe it is important to acknowledge that learning can be hard and that it is okay to struggle! Everyone can learn anything, it just takes time and patience.
