Learning should be fun! I truly believe that learning can and should be an enjoyable pursuit. There is so much knowledge to be had, which is exactly the thing that draws me to teaching. I am passionate about helping students find the joy in learning and unlocking their full potential. I completed my undergraduate degree in Theatre Arts and Studio Arts at Gettysburg College, and received my master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Towson University. I spent the last four years in the public school classroom, where I taught students from a variety of backgrounds. My teaching style tends to be hands-on and creative, and I do not believe that all students learn the same way. It is important to me to respect a student’s learning style and adjust my teaching approach accordingly. While much of my experience comes from working with young students, I tutor a broad range of subjects. I am especially passionate about reading and literature, and love helping students realize books can unlock new worlds and ways of thinking. I am delighted to watch my toddler discovering the joys of books! When I am not being a mother or teacher, I like to crochet, bead, sew, and garden.
