I graduated from a French school in Egypt (Sacre-coeur). I have a BA in French literature from Cairo University, and a minor in Arabic. I've been teaching French at Tulsa Community College since 2006. I also have years of experience teaching Arabic to elementary and middle school students at a private school in Tulsa, as well as teaching Arabic to adult learners at Sunday schools.
I master three languages: Arabic , French and English. I am very patient and positive and I use different methods in teaching to make sure my classes are interactive and relaxed and fun. I have good experience with all age groups, from elementary-age students to adults.
I can teach French 1, French 2, French 3 and French 4. I can also teach standard Arabic and Egyptian-dialect Arabic, as well as French and Egyptian culture.
Q & A
What is your teaching philosophy?
EVERY STUDENT IS DIFFERENT AND HAS DIFFERENT NEEDS. I USE DIFFERENT METHODS IN TEACHING, LIKE USING VISUAL OBJECTS OR WATCHING MOVIES, OR LISTENING TO SONGS IN THE TARGET LANGUAGE, BESIDE A TEXTBOOK AND MY PERSONAL NOTES.
