I am certified to teach Chinese and ELL (K-12) in Minnesota and Nebraska. I am currently teaching Chinese at a public school in the suburb of St. Paul. I have six years of Chinese teaching experience in the public school system.

I have taught a diverse set of students including 3rd-12th graders. I am passionate about student learning and extremely interested in promoting Chinese language and culture. I use a variety of instructional technologies and effective communication to help learners develop language proficiency, build cultural understanding, and foster critical thinking.

What is your teaching philosophy?

The purpose of school is to open doors, open worlds, and open possibilities for each person to live life fully and well. The teacher should act as a guide, allowing the child's natural curiosity to direct his/her learning, promoting respect and care for all things and all people, and respecting different abilities and learning styles of children as they are unique individuals.
