I graduated from Alson University where my major was Spanish and my minor was German. I love languages, especially the grammar and the pronunciation of each language. I studied abroad in Malaga where I got my DELE, which is a certificate that indicates that I speak Spanish fluently.
I have taught various levels of Spanish to students of different ages, from middle school students to graduates and professionals learning business Spanish. My method while teaching students is to encourage them to speak in Spanish during the whole class, while also learning and reviewing correct grammar. I previously taught at language centers, and have also given private lessons. I love Spanish and I have the patience needed to teach my students to speak and learn the language the right way, with the right accent and the right grammar. I worked at a Mexican company when I moved to the states for two years, so I am pretty familiar with the differences between the Castellano accent and the Spanish accent.
I am originally from Egypt, and my mother tongue is Arabic.
What is your teaching philosophy?
I try to talk in Spanish the whole lesson even when the student doesn't understand the word. I try to describe it, draw it or explain it. I try all the time to have my students learn the right accent in order to speak the correct Spanish. Regarding the grammar, I use a lot of examples to make sure my students understand when exactly to use the verb.
