I am a graduate of a top university and recently finished a year volunteering with Americorps in St. Louis. Through my major in Environmental Earth Sciences, I gained a strong background in math and science. I have teaching experience as a camp counselor at a nature preserve, as a tutor while in college, and as a teaching assistant of a higher level geology course. I enjoy tutoring and allowing students to reach conclusions through guided critical thinking and problem solving. I tutor students in math, science, reading, as well as test prep subjects.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Teaching is a process where students are guided towards answers based on questions and discussions with someone knowledgeable in the subject. In this way, the student can think critically about the material and more fully understand concepts.
