My tutoring philosophy is as follows: with trust, all learning is possible. I believe that the most important element in successful tutoring is the relationship between tutor and student. I work to create a rapport and find common ground with students in addition to imparting knowledge. I also believe that mistakes are an integral part of learning, and I encourage students to pursue their work as far as they can go on their own and not worry about "getting it right." If my education at Stuyvesant High School taught me anything, it is that the academic landscape is incredibly competitive, and a writing tutor can mean the difference between a dream college and a safety. And it is because of this that I believe I bear part of the responsibility of helping your child succeed.
