I am from Seattle. I was born here and I love the Pacific Northwest. I am studying at the University of Washington, and I am looking forward to graduating in June of 2016 with a degree in Biochemistry. I love the subject and learning about the chemistry behind many important processes going on every day in our bodies. I am hoping to continue my studies in a research lab after I graduate. As much as I love chemistry, it is nice to take a break from memorizing structures and pathways which is why I enjoy tutoring math! I have always loved math, and calculus was by far one of my favorite subjects in college. There is no better feeling than solving a complicated integral or finishing a page of calculations and getting the correct answer. I feel I am a great tutor because I have tutored many different students with different learning styles and different attitudes towards the subject. I am very personable and dedicated and in the end I just want the student to have a good time understanding a subject that can be very fun! I go above and beyond to make sure my students understand the material and have a successful tutoring experience.

In my free time I like being active and reading or watching sports (or netflix) to relax. I am currently reading the A Song of Ice and Fire series (no spoilers please!), and I am on a recreational soccer team with some of my friends. I am also a member of the University of Washington Drumline where I am the bass drum section leader and have been fortunate enough to travel to places like Hawaii and Alaska with the band! I love football and am counting the days until the Seahawks and Huskies seasons begin.
