My name is Ananya Michera, and I am a recent graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. I majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry and Spanish. I have tutored students of all backgrounds and ages at the Virginia Commonwealth University Campus Learning Center since Fall 2012 through Spring 2015. I am familiar with different learning styles and really enjoy connecting with students to help them excel in classes they are having difficulty in.
I tutored Spanish, Biology, and Statistics at VCU and am very comfortable tutoring students in these subjects. I started taking Spanish in middle school and continued throughout college. I had the opportunity to take introductory and upper level courses in Biology so I feel very prepared with the subject. I also have tutored introductory Statistics and can clearly get the concepts across to students.
I try very hard to be patient, disciplined, and clear with the students that I work with so that it is worth the time that they spend in tutoring. My goal is that the student leaves with a much clearer understanding of the subject they are struggling in. I look forward to working with many different students!
