As a premed student with a major in philosophy and a minor in mathematics at the University of Washington, I was fortunate to be exposed to very different learning and teaching styles. I also learned to appreciate that very smart people can think in very different ways from each other and that people who are outstanding at some subjects inevitably need help with others. I always bring this insight to bear on tutoring, where I work together with the student to find a method or style that works best for them!
