I understand that not everyone learns at the same pace, and I am able to take as long as necessary for a student to understand a concept. I love teaching people and seeing the light bulb in their heads go off once they understand something. I work well with children and believe that my ability to relate to them will help in a learning dynamic. My passion for education makes me suitable to help others learn as much as possible. I feel that my knowledge and expertise in the aforementioned subjects will benefit others in their learning as well. Any group projects or team work that needs to be done, I can handle in a professional and courteous manner. I love interacting with other and expect everyone to carry their weight in a group project. I previously interned at an outdoor education center, where I had the opportunity to teach 5th grade students about the environment. The students were able to have an overnight adventure while learning about their environment. I was tasked with taking the children on a nature hike, where we discussed multiple environmental topics, such as decomposition, forestation, and water erosion.
