I received my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona in 2005. Since then, I taught Kindergarten for 8 years and am very familiar with the new Common Core standards. While teaching, I also tutored students in math and reading after school twice a week for an hour. I left teaching full time in 2013 and began substituting in grades K-6 giving me experience with all the elementary grade levels. I am passionate about teaching reading and math and love a hands-on approach to learning. I feel that my teaching experience has helped my identify ways that different students learn and the best way to help them succeed.
Outside of education, I love reading and spending time outdoors with my sons. My family loves to go to Sabino Canyon, the park, and the library. I also enjoy baking and game nights!
