I received my B.S. in Environmental Sciences at the University of Virginia. I graduated in 2015 and am currently applying to dental schools for admission in 2016. I have tutored many students throughout my time in both high school and university particularly in algebra and introductory biology/ecology. Although I am not pursuing a career in the subject, I have taken various advanced classes in meteorology and atmospheric science and enjoy tutoring students passionate about the subject as well.
Tutoring is something that needs to be adjusted for each student; however,I typically teach in a way in which the concept introduction is key before performing practice problems. I believe that although it may take a little longer at first to learn the "why" behind a subject, it produces greater understanding, and subsequently better test scores.
Aside from academics, I enjoy reliving my days as a club-level collegiate fencer. I also enjoy cracking open a YA novel from time to time, and, of course, watching way too much Netflix for her my good.
