I have taught numerous social science classes at the college level, in sociology, political science, and anthropology. My discipline-spanning teaching experience gives me the background necessary to provide students with a holistic understanding of the social sciences in its entirety, as well as a more focused understanding of individual social science disciplines. My instruction has earned me strong teaching evaluations in both forums, as well as repeated contract renewals.
In addition to my teaching experience, I have a strong background as a researcher, having developed a publishing record in peer-reviewed scholarly journals. This research experience also helps me in the classroom, as I am able to explain how social science research is carried out and to what end. I have found that such explanation aids students in thinking through their own research interests and in developing critical thinking skills.
