As the daughter of a retired high school math teacher, I can honestly say that the love of teaching, learning, and discovery is in my blood (though the passion for math never did quite transfer!). I have over ten years of experience as a tutor and teaching assistant, and can help students achieve their learning goals in a wide variety of subjects. I graduated summa cum laude/4.0 from both my graduate program in International Affairs at the George Washington University, and from undergraduate at Mercer University. While at Mercer, I triple majored in International Affairs, Political Science, and Spanish, while also earning a minor in Latin and completing the Great Books program.
My approach to tutoring is to be adaptive and motivating. Whether using interactive games and experiential learning, or simple mnemonics and test prep checklists, I am always exploring new ways to inspire students through a rich learning experience. Ive taken the ACT, SAT, and GRE, and received high scores on the AP English Language/Literature, Spanish, US History, US Government, Art History, and Microeconomics exams. In addition to these subjects, I love all things writing and can help you craft, draft, revise, and rewrite any style of paper or writing project.
In my free time, I enjoy yoga, cooking, and trivia, and even won a game on Jeopardy! this past fall.
