I received my Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a graduate degree (EMBA) is from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. I have been in adult education for over 20 years teaching Economics, Marketing and Strategic Planning at the university level. During this time, I have mentored many students to more fully understand the sometimes vague and perhaps even confusing concepts related to these disciplines. My favorite subject however is economics since all other business disciplines relate directly or certainly indirectly to it. My teaching philosophy and resultant style is focused on the student being able to apply the concepts to their personal decision making directly. I believe that if many academic concepts are not internalized, their usefulness cannot be maximized. Consequently, my relationship with students is conversational where the student, through interactive discussions, more fully understands not only the meaning of the concept, but its real world application.
