I am a graduate from Cornell University where received my degree in Biological Engineering. Now, I work full time as a psychiatric research assistant studying human brain functioning. I have a strong interest in math and science and really enjoy getting students excited about these subjects as well! Some of my favorite subjects to tutor are Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Math (Algebra, Trig, Calculus). I also enjoy tutoring for Standardized Tests.
My formal teaching and tutoring experience includes working as a physics teaching assistant for three semesters, tutoring basic math and statistics to incarcerated individuals through the Cornell Prison Education Program for two semesters, and instructing an MCAT (Medical College Admissions Test) Preparation course through Examkrackers for a semester (which included the Biological Sciences, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Chemistry, and Verbal Reasoning). I keep coming back to teaching because I love working with students and seeing them reach their goals.
Besides spending time teaching and tutoring, I love to ski, scuba dive, play volleyball, and I've recently started indoor rock climbing.
