I am a graduate of Trinity Washington University in Washington, DC. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science with a minor in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Educational Administration. Additionally, I have a Masters Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University. I am certified in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I am a Nationally Board Certified teacher and have worked in Prince Georges County and Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland for more than 13 years. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about teaching math because there are various ways to solve math problems. My uncompromising view is that all students can learn, given a positive learning environment that welcomes exploration and enhances student confidence. I maintain a safe, respectful, positive and effective learning environment. I have a proven record of increased student achievement. My students have made significant gains each year because of the differentiated and individualized instruction I provide. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching sports, and watching movies.
