I am a recent mechanical engineering graduate from Washington State University. I grew up in Juneau, Alaska but for now I'm enjoying the city life and culture that Seattle has to offer. I am happy to be able to tutor math and science subjects.
I have substitute taught middle school and high school classes in Juneau and found it to be rewarding work, especially when you are able to see a student truly understand a new concept. Math, in particular, takes patience and practice, which is what I plan to impart and work on with students.
Being from Alaska, I really enjoy the outdoors, especially hiking, camping, and kayaking. My friends and family, although spread out, are very important to me. I make a great effort to stay in touch with them as often as possible. At the moment I'm taking a break after a year or two of working in engineering to enjoy the Pacific Northwest and pursue a few personal interests. I love to travel, and I'm hoping to find a cool engineering job that allows me to do so while improving people's quality of life.
I look forward to working with you and your child!
