I am a published author and a graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz (undergraduate) and George Washington University (graduate). I have extensive, practical experience in applying writing to the working world. During my academic career I was recognized with several awards, fellowships, and scholarships that acknowledged my achievement and dedication.
But it was not always so.
Truth be told, I struggled greatly through high school. This path taught me, on a personal level, that not every student learns the same way. Therefore, my approach to teaching and tutoring is centered around uncovering the unique challenges each student faces, and then helping them build a set of tools that will empower them to learn in any environment, whether that's high school, college, or the workplace.
