I am a recent graduate of New York University, I received my Bachelor of Science in Media, Culture and Communication. In the past I have volunteered to tutor bright young students in summer school programs in Boston helping them with a wide range of subjects and topics in both English as well as Mandarin. Also I have participated in the Big Brother & Big Sister program where I was a one-on-one mentor with a bright fifth grader. We developed an honest and mutually beneficial relationship that still exist today. Although I am happy to tutor in a range of subjects, I am most passionate in Chinese and Math, I believe these to be my strongest qualities, and it is where I would feel the most comfortable to give my 100 percent. For someone who also came from another country and had to learn a new language from the scratch, I understand that learning is at its most effective when the teacher/tutor is patient, clear, and understanding. Learning requires time and naturalness, it cannot happen under a forced or frustrated situation. In my off time I am a recording/performing musician as well as a hands-on creative projects, constantly involved in my own and other peoples projects, trying to improve our living qualities one day at a time.
