I am a recent graduate of Geneva College, from which I received a Bachelor of Science in both Biology and Chemistry. During my time at Geneva I tutored fellow students in several science courses, including General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Genetics. I love tutoring General Chemistry because of the many "Aha!" moments when students suddenly make connections from chemistry to the real world. My experience with tutoring has led me to believe that discovery-based learning is the best way to solidify concepts. For this reason I focus on teaching how to use the tools available, like modeling kits and textbooks. In addition to being a huge science nerd, I love reading classics, playing ultimate frisbee, and watching weird sci-fi shows.
