I have been teaching multiple types and levels of writing courses in community and private colleges throughout Seattle and Los Angeles for the past twenty-five years. I have taught developmental English through standard and advanced level essay writing and literature courses. I have also taught a wide variety of ESL courses both here and in several countries abroad.
Currently, I am teaching an online humanities course at the University of Phoenix where I have been employed part time for the past eight years. I have also been tutoring private students throughout the years, and have thoroughly enjoyed working one on one with each of my students.
In addition to teaching, I am a writer, and I've been editing my own book lately, soon to be completed and published. I have had poetry, prose and articles in local magazines and newspapers.
Both my BA and MFA degrees from the University of Washington and the University of California, Irvine respectively are in creative writing, so that is my specialty. However, I can help with any type of writing. Most of the writing classes I have taught have focused on different types of essay writing. I also enjoy helping with reading comprehension, as well as any courses in the humanities.
