I graduated in 2010 from the University of Maryland College Park with a Bachelor's degree (BA) in Economics, and I am currently pursuing a Master's degree (MSM) with University of Maryland University College (UMUC) in Financial Management. I have 10 years of tutoring experience dating back to junior year of high school. My primary area of tutoring is Mathematics, which I have loved since a young age and excelled in classes throughout middle-school, high-school, and college years. I love Math because (1) I comprehend it well (2) I enjoy teaching it to others, and (3) I find that being strong in math can translate beneficially into other aspects of life, even when we don't immediately realize it. I consider myself a visual learner, which affects the way I teach others; for example, I bring a portable white-board with me, in order to write/draw the concepts that I am communicating verbally. This provides students with the benefit of both audio and visual learning, which enhances their tutoring experience. When I am not working or tutoring, I enjoy following my Washington D.C. sports teams, and golf has recently become a weekend hobby of mine. I consider my personality to be my greatest asset, since I am able to relate with people from all different kinds of backgrounds and experiences. This allows me to develop a comfortable and trusting relationship with the students I tutor, and makes for a more enjoyable learning experience.
