I have been a teacher for over 35 years and still have a great passion for teaching. I enjoy tutoring students on a 1:1 basis to individualize the learning for each client. Connecting with my students is a large part of my style. I enjoy teaching all ages and excel in math (up to algebra) and beginning reading. For fun I like to stay active, riding my bike, swimming and walking my dog. I also like to travel to new places and old favorites. My family is very important to me.
I have a BS in Child Development from the University of Pittsburgh and a MEd in Special Education from Temple University. Later in my career I gained a certificate in Middle School Math from Drexel University. My experience is vast. I have taught Special Education in a vocational setting for teenagers, Early Intervention for ages 3-6 years of age and have tutored different subjects for the past 2 years. Seeing the look in a student's eyes when they understand a concept is very rewarding. Tutoring subjects that I enjoy is as important to me as the students. It would be my pleasure to teach you or your child.
