I am a Sophomore at Dartmouth College. I am currently working towards my Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Astronomy. At school, I am a volunteer SAT Tutor and College Mentor at Let's Get Ready. I host a weekly radio show. I do graphic design work for the school newspaper and a volunteer organization dedicated to improving financial literacy in the school's immediate area.
While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Math and Standardized Tests. In my experience of helping struggling students to prepare for these subjects, we are able to make seemingly boring subjects interesting and find ways to show their practical importance.
I particularly enjoy working on the Essay portion of the SAT and ACT because it's relatively fun and easy to master. It is rewarding to see how improvement on the essay affects other academic subjects.
I hope to show my students the importance of education and it's far reaching implications outside of academia, and that most aspects of learning can be fun and gratifying. I always feel personally invested in my students' ongoing success and love to work with dedicated students who are equally invested in their own success.
I'm passionate about the stories behind everyone and everything. In my spare time, I enjoy reading fantasy novels and historical non-fiction. I also love to watch classic movies and listen to live music.
