About Me

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Union University with minors in Chemistry and Spanish Literature. I have been tutoring a wide variety of subjects for the last six years, and I have worked as a Spanish and Biology teacher at the high school level. I am currently getting ready to start the new school year as a 10th grade Chemistry teacher. I tutor Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Anatomy and Physiology, elementary and middle school math, Algebra I, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus. My favorite subjects to tutor are Biology and Chemistry because that is where I have the most experience and those are the two subjects that I am most passionate about (although I love Math as well!). I am passionate about the importance of teaching each student individually because every student has their own set of gifts and challenges and what may work for one student may be totally different than what works for another. When I am not teaching and tutoring, I love to play piano and go flying with my husband. I also love to explore the great local and state parks around San Antonio and experience all of the cultural activities than San Antonio has to offer.
