I received a B.S. in Biology and one in Geology from Washington State University. I completed my M.Ed. at the University of Washington-Tacoma. I have worked teaching biology, physics and algebra at the high school level, and for the last two years, I have worked as a substitute teacher for middle and high school students for a Pierce County school district. I am Certified by the State of Washington to teach Science at the secondary level and to teach math at the middle school level. I believe in a student centered approach to teaching where personal interests and learning styles are taken into account. I also teach Tai Chi and the Tai Chi sword form. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy online video games, science fiction (and science fact!) television, and I have been known to go to comic book conventions dressed as a mad scientist.
