I graduated from Rice University in Houston, Texas with a BA in Anthropology and a BA in Gender Studies. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Gender Studies at the University of Arizona. I have 7 years of experience tutoring math and science. My favorite subjects to tutor are Algebra, Algebra II, and Chemistry, but I also really enjoy tutoring Physics and Geometry. My approach to tutoring is to pinpoint why a student is struggling and to work through difficulties with clear and novel explanations as well as targeted practice. I believe that helping a student master the material is key towards gaining the needed confidence. Outside of school and work, I enjoy getting outdoors, whether it is on a bike or hiking. I also like to read and attend art and cultural events.
