What is your teaching philosophy?

I teach how a self willing student wants to be taught and guided. Physical application of learning objectives is a huge motivational factor, which I constantly use.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

It depends. Some students are not outspoken about what they are struggling with, so I start with a simple question, "How can I help you to achieve what you want to achieve?" In other instances, students just start asking questions about a very specific topic, and I dive right in to clear any confusion or misconceptions they have.
