I was born and raised in the inner city of Philadelphia. I have overcome just about every adversity there is. As a child, I loved Math and was always advanced. My parents used to give me math problems to keep me busy rather than video games. They would keep me occupied for hours and out of trouble.
As I grew, so did my understanding of math. I began realizing that math is more useful in everyday life than people give it credit for. So I continued my quest to learn more math. I took AP calculus AB my senior year of high school, and, along with my entire class, did very well on the AP exam. We all scored a 5, the maximum score.
I went on to study more math in college. It is there that I discovered my true calling for my wealth of Math knowledge, teaching. I began tutoring students in my dorm in math. I then changed my major from Engineering to Education.
