I am a proud graduate of Tuskegee University where I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Biology, with a minor in English. I am currently working towards my Masters and teaching credential, with a focus on Secondary science education, at University of Southern California. I have tutored students in the Tuskegee, Alabama community for an average of about 15 hours a week. Upon moving to California I worked as a Chemistry teacher in Lawndale California where I held tutoring sessions everyday afterschool and during lunch. The subjects that I tutor are Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Environmental Science, and Genetics. Tutoring science interests me because I love to learn about how everything around us works! I believe that learning is more that memorizing material, you have to be able to relate to it. Because of this I believe that learning can be fun and easy if the information is presented to students in ways that are easy to understand and apply on their own. In my free time I enjoy reading a good book, shopping, and hiking.
