Trigonometry Tutoring review by Michael in Maywood, IL
During the session, we worked through the online platform for working with opposites and fractions. At the end of the session, I assigned one module per night minimum when I do not meet with the student.

Trigonometry Tutoring review by ManHua in Maywood, IL
We went over direct and inverse variations and graphing inverse variation functions as well as understanding how altering values in the inverse variation can change the graph. I first explained the general concept of the material as outlined in the online textbook. We then went over some practice problems at the end of the two sections to ensure that the student understood the material. For future tutoring sessions, I will focus more on helping her apply the concept to various types of problems and go over problems on quizzes.

We review trig topics for an upcoming unit test including: trig functions and triangles, special triangles, radians, co-terminal and reference angles, the unit circle, and trig identities. The student recalled the material and did problems well. I gave him suggestions on what to focus on for more practice.

Trigonometry Tutoring review by Charlene in Maywood, IL
We covered story problems relating to areas, and touched a little on ratios. The student learned to take apart the story problem one piece at time by circling key words and numbers, and making a drawing of the problem. He also underlined the questions and crossed unnecessary information. He did a great job of synthesizing what his mom had previously taught him and the method of working through the problem!

Trigonometry Tutoring review by Alexa in Maywood, IL
This was my first meeting with the student. She is a very bright student! For our first session, we worked on some concepts that have previously been an issue with the student (adding/subtracting and multiplying/dividing integers, interest problems). We went back through each of those lessons in her book and did the corresponding problems. When she ran into issues, she worked through them well. I noticed that she rushes through her work. Additionally, she does not like to write down her work. This may cause her to make small errors and mistakes on her tests. My best advice is for the student to slow down, and most importantly, double check her work. On another note, the student has noted to me that she does not get nervous during exams.

Trigonometry Tutoring review by Manelle in Maywood, IL
The student and I covered decimals yesterday, specifically division with decimals. I taught her a new way to manipulate the placement of decimals when solving a division problem since she had a difficult time with putting them in the correct position. I think that it's important that she keeps practicing what she has learned throughout the school year, such as percentage and fraction manipulation, so that she does not forget these basics. I hope that she also practices the method I taught her in moving decimals since she seemed to understand it very well, and it helped her in answering questions correctly.
