I'm super excited about working with Varsity Tutors! It's my general philosophy that a teacher or tutor should serve as a facilitator of a student's learning process, rather than as a commander. I believe that the more independently a student can obtain a set of skills or degree of knowledge, the more able they are to master it for life. That being said, seeking guidance, assistance, and possibly structure when struggling with particular concepts and assignments is every bit a part of the independent learning process. It's cliche, but I do believe there are no questions that should not be asked, and that the unexamined life is not worth living. To me, the quest for knowledge reigns supreme, and the wisdom (along with good grades on assignments and exams at school) are icing on the cake and indicative of a successful inquiry process. Aiding my students in their quest for knowledge and celebrating their success is the greatest reward for me. I look forward to working with you in your pursuit of academic and intellectual excellence!
