I graduated from the University of Virginia in 2012 with a B.A. in English Literature, but my education included coursework that covered both the humanities and the sciences. I even spent a year working in a biomedical research lab at the University of Virginia School of Medicine to supplement my coursework in the sciences. Outside of class, I cultivated my passion for mentoring others by serving as a Resident Advisor and an after-school tutor for a local Charlottesville middle school. My past tutoring positions have also allowed me to work with a wide variety of ages and even given me the opportunity to work in various countries across Central and South America.
Regardless of where I was working, the age of my students, or the subject matter, I have always enjoyed going through the learning process in a fun and creative manner. One of the ways I have accomplished this is by complementing my expertise with an abundant amount of support and encouragement. As your tutor, I will strive to adapt my style of teaching to best fit your unique ways of learning, giving you the best learning environment to succeed in!
