I have a lot of experience with a wide variety of students. Currently, I am working as a teaching assistant, focusing prominently in special education. The skills learned in this diverse environment had taught me a multitude of ways to teach complex topics, allowing students to interact with the material in a way they are most comfortable with. My education at Marist College included a full year abroad in Florence, Italy, which pushed me to learn new ideas about teaching and specifically history, especially European. I have experience working one-on-one with all types of students, tutoring in school and outside privately. The variety of AP classes and SAT courses i have taken have taught me tricks to test taking and study habits that will only help your student accomplish more in school and in life. Most importantly, learning should be fun. I encourage students to take part in their curriculum, challenging the student to find the topics that truly interest them.
