I am an international development professional, working on sustainable development initiatives in Latin America with an international organization. I also have a passion for education and have six years of tutoring experience working with students on subjects ranging from test preparation (PSAT, SAT, SAT II, AP, ACT) to Spanish language to college admissions. I have worked with some of the most well-respected tutoring companies and have achieved tangible results working with students of all levels. I have developed a skills-based approach to standardized tests that has helped my students demystify the SAT and ACT tests. With patience, diligence, and a deep understanding of my students' needs, I have helped my students raise their scores up to 200 points on each of the Critical Reading and Writing sections of the SAT test. Students I have tutored and counseled have gone on to receive admissions offers from the University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, Cornell, UVA, Johns Hopkins, Carnegie Mellon, Boston College, NYU, UCLA, William and Mary, Amherst, Williams, Emory, University of Maryland at College Park - among others.
After living in several cities both in the U.S. and abroad, I recently relocated to the Atlanta area. I graduated from Princeton University in 2005 and worked in the fine arts industry in New York City for several years before studying International Relations and receiving my Master's in 2010. I have a strong educational background in both the Humanities and Social Sciences. Additionally, I am fluent in Spanish and Korean, and have a solid understanding of English grammar and mechanics in order to be able to teach related subjects. I bring all of my experiences with me as I work with students, and am able to provide my students with a dynamic and interactive approach to learning.
