I am a current public high school Spanish teacher in the D.C. metro area. I have been teaching high school for four years and I love helping others achieve their goals. My tutoring style is VERY student-centered. I like to observe how students work alone (or in groups) and step in to facilitate when I see a problem or misunderstanding.
Before teaching, I gained experience tutoring a wide variety of subjects and age groups. While an undergraduate student, I spent 2 hours weekly at a local middle school tutoring math. Also, I worked as a teaching assistant in an English language learners classroom for adults.
I am very confident that my educational background has prepared me to be an excellent tutor. I have a B.A. degree in the Spanish language. While teaching, I earned a M.Ed. degree in curriculum and instruction.
In my spare time, I enjoy running, playing bocce, and spending time with friends and family. I also think that it is very important to travel and see the world! My next trip will be to Cartagena, Colombia!
