My approach to learning has always been to make it my own. When I teach, my goal is to encourage the student to take ownership of the subject matter. Once ownership happens, it becomes easier to engage and ask questions that lead to understanding.
I graduated from Georgetown University in May 2012 with a degree in Government and English. I have taught middle and high school students in DC and South Africa, as well as tutored undergraduate students at Georgetown. I believe everyone has the necessary tools to be successful in the classroom. I am not an expert in any one subject, but I do enjoy helping students draw on their strengths to unlock expertise they may not have realized they possessed.
Undergraduate Degree: Georgetown University - Bachelor in Arts, Government and English
In my down time, I enjoy attending concerts, playing guitar, coloring, and reading with friends.
