Hello, I am Sikini (pronounced Sikina) and I am very happy to be with Varsity Tutors. I am originally from San Antonio, Texas, but spent the first 15 years of my life living and traveling abroad. I have a B.A. in Bilingual Education/Elementary Education for The University of Texas in Austin. My M.S degree is in Educational Administration from The University of Houston, and I am currently completing my PhD dissertation research and writing at Capella University.
I have been in the field of Education for many years as a Bilingual Education Teacher in Spanish and as a Campus Assistant Principal and Principal at both elementary and secondary levels. Most recently, I returned to the United States and Texas after working in Casablanca, Morocco, for the past year as a M.S. Administrator and as an English Language Learner Learning Specialist for a PreK-12th grade school. I feel that it has always been my mission to serve others through the field of teaching and education, especially our youth as they are truly our future leaders in an ever-changing global society. I love inspiring excellence in the minds and hearts of children and this is something that I hope to continue to do for a very long time!
