I hold a PhD in the microbiology and immunology program at Thomas Jefferson University. I graduated with a BS in biology from the University of Richmond in 2006 and a MS in biology from Drexel University in 2009. Teaching has been one of my greatest passions, and I've volunteered as a tutor during high school and for the Boys & Girls Club in Richmond, VA during college. I worked as a biology teaching assistant at Drexel University and one of my proudest achievements was being nominated for teaching assistant of the year by my students.
Every student learns differently, and it is very important to recognize each student's needs and strengths in order to tailor each session so that they obtain the most out of them. I specialize in math and science and there are tons of concepts that can be very difficult to understand, but one of my greatest strengths is my ability to break down the concepts in different ways which allow my students to learn those concepts and to build a solid foundation to work up on.
