Tutoring review by Nick in Liverpool, NY
Today the student and I worked on his math homework. The addition of another component to the distribution property of multiplication made this a tricky subject. We worked for a good amount of time, and I believe that I have cleared up a lot of the issues he was confused with.

I helped the student review his homework and assignments that he has due and put them in his planner. He finished his math homework and his quizzes for AP history while we were together. We also started to discuss how to tackle studying for his AP world history exam. We looked at the resources he has available to study and mapped out the next two weeks of what he needs to work on.

Tutoring review by Lorna in Liverpool, NY
With the student, we worked on his second English 101 paper. This was an informative essay, written to the audience of his class and teacher, about someone he had interviewed. It only required the interview and two outside sources, which we had to find. He had selected a good family friend for the interview. He had a good chunk of notes and interview responses, and together we were able to decide on a focus and purpose for the paper and organize how it would make the most sense. This was only a rough draft, so it was 5.5 pages- the final needs to be at least a page longer. The external sources still need to be worked into the essay. He is going to meet with his teacher for a conference this week, and then we are going to meet again to polish and finish it next week.

Tutoring review by Manuel in Liverpool, NY
Despite not having seen the student last week, she was very much on top of the material on factorization today. She knew how to do most of the grouping factorization problems. She needed a bit of help with cubics, but by an hour, we had finished covering the material on math. We then finished with Living Environment as she has to retake the bio assessment exam in January.
