I am also a life-long theater artist. Since elementary school I have practically lived on stage, and even written a play or two myself. Gaining a Bachelor's in theater meant countless hours of poring over scripts to extract their deepest meaning. Stretching my creativity into play-writing and poetry, when combined with rigorous writing-intensive courses, propelled my reading and writing skills even further.

I am a big believer in the power of flashcards! I even have multiple flashcard apps on my phone. For writing or English, a computer we can type through ideas on, and internet access to resources for grammar, vocabulary, etc. For history, I might bring additional books to help a student with a particular subject. For all subjects, I like to have a white board, so we can work through examples together.

I am a recent graduate from the Georgia Institute of Technology where I received a Bachelor's in Spanish and Linguistics, and I'm currently pursuing my Master's in Linguistics at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. I'm most passionate about language, whether that's teaching Spanish or working with endangered languages. I'm also excited to tutor in math and help others prepare for standardized tests like the GRE, SAT, & ACT!

I am an expert writer and communicator in both English and Spanish, and my thorough knowledge of linguistics (phonetics and syntax) makes me especially qualified to help second language learners. While I am an effective and capable tutor for a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Spanish, and ESL, for I believe that strong communication skills are the foundation for success.
