I love it when students get that "Aha" moment when learning something difficult! I've been teaching science for 9 years and that just never gets old. Each student has their own way of learning and my goal is to recognize and adjust my style to fit each students learning needs.

Throughout my career, I've taught middle school, high school and college students (graduate and undergraduate.) I earned my Doctorate in Education in 1997. Teaching is most rewarding for me when students realize they have the skills and tools to be successful in tutoring experiences and beyond.

I began tutoring during my undergraduate career and moved on to become a teaching assistant during my time as a graduate student. I'm knowledgeable in various levels of biology, English/grammar, as well as bioinformatics and some programming languages.
